Engineer - Plant & Machinery (P&M) - Site

Role overview

This position is focused on the day-to-day management of plant and machinery at a construction site. The engineer will help keep equipment available, well maintained, and operating safely so site activities can continue without disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and upkeep of all construction equipment at the project location, with an emphasis on keeping machines available and performing well.
• Carry out preventive maintenance planning through schedules and checklists, while coordinating service work with site personnel and external vendors.
• Track fuel usage, equipment deployment, and idle time, then act to reduce wastage and improve efficiency.
• Make sure equipment handling and operations follow OEM instructions, safety requirements, and applicable statutory rules.
• Assist with moving equipment onto and off the site, including maintaining the necessary records and documentation.
