Job description

Overview

This is a three-month secondment position based across the RHS Care Hub, working in partnership with the RHS Quality Team. The focus of the role is service development and continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on making sure service users, their families, loved ones, and staff help shape how the service is designed and delivered.

You will play an important part in strengthening the quality agenda, supporting coproduction, and improving experiences and outcomes for service users and carers. The post calls for someone who is genuinely committed to enhancing care by working collaboratively and valuing the input of those who use and support the service.

Key responsibilities

The role involves reviewing improvement opportunities, tracking progress, and providing project management support across agreed workstreams. You will help lead specific projects that contribute to quality goals and service development.

  • Deliver agreed actions arising from peer reviews, quality plans, audits, feedback, and similar sources.
  • Improve the overall experience of service users.
  • Support the creation of a sustainable health and wellbeing college that helps service users manage their own wellbeing.
  • Help implement the Triangle of Care and the Family and Carer Strategy so that carers and loved ones receive a consistently positive experience of care.
  • Build coproduction activity within the Care Hub.
  • Work with the Head of Quality to develop patient forums and patient experience dashboards.
  • Contribute to the design of a specialist training programme for RHS staff.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision when needed.
