About the role
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Transport and is responsible for shaping and advancing the country's land transport network. This role sits within the Tactical Enforcement Operations team and focuses on keeping roads and paths safe by ensuring that users comply with applicable rules and regulations.
What you will do
You will work as part of a team carrying out targeted enforcement operations against motor vehicle users and active mobility device users who do not follow the rules. The position involves supporting safety and compliance efforts across Singapore's transport environment.
Training
Successful candidates will complete a 3 to 4 week training programme, which includes a written competency assessment, to build the knowledge and skills needed for the job.
Requirements
- A background in any discipline is acceptable; candidates with relevant enforcement or operations experience may also be considered.
- At least a Class 2A driving licence is required.
- You must be physically fit, with a recent pass in IPPT, and have good eyesight with normal colour vision.
- The role requires operating LTA motor vehicles and/or bicycles as part of daily duties.
- You should demonstrate initiative, discipline, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are needed.
- You must stay calm, think clearly, and solve problems effectively in difficult situations.
- Shift work and ad hoc assignments are part of the role, including support for major national events on public holidays.
- Working hours may be irregular.
- You must be open to varied enforcement postings within the Authority.
- English proficiency is essential.
- Ability to speak another language such as Malay, Tamil, or Mandarin is an added advantage.
