Role overview
A well-established law firm in Central London is seeking a capable legal EA / PA to support its employment team. The position is best suited to someone with a background in employment law, although experience in litigation or corporate work may also be acceptable. The role is broad and requires someone who is organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key duties
- Manage busy diaries and coordinate schedules.
- Act as the first point of contact for clients by taking messages, handling enquiries, and replying to correspondence.
- Produce and organise documents, including audio typing and digital dictation work.
- Schedule meetings, reserve rooms, and keep appointments on track.
- Prepare billing-related tasks.
- Compile court bundles.
- Arrange all travel requirements, such as visas, foreign currency, and hotel reservations.
- Handle sensitive and confidential material with care and discretion.
Experience and suitability
The firm requires at least two years of experience as a legal secretary or PA. Prior employment law exposure is preferred, but candidates from litigation or corporate backgrounds will also be considered. Strong organisational ability, excellent timekeeping, a proactive mindset, and flexibility are important for success in this role. Good typing speed and confident IT skills are essential because there will be extensive phone-based dictation.
Location and package
This is a Central London role, suitable for someone commuting via Liverpool Street. The salary is £50,000 plus a bonus, and the position is hybrid.
