About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Employee Relations HR Advisor to join our fast-paced Shared Services HR team. This role acts as the initial touchpoint for employees and managers seeking guidance on HR policies, workplace concerns, and employee relations issues. It requires handling a substantial volume of phone calls with professionalism and sound judgment while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for employees and management concerning HR policies, procedures, employment-related questions, and workplace matters.
- Manage a significant number of inbound calls and case inquiries efficiently within a shared services framework.
- Offer advice and support on employee relations topics such as performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace conduct, attendance, leave policies, and company protocols.
- Investigate and resolve employee concerns ensuring confidentiality, policy compliance, and fairness.
- Keep thorough records of interactions, investigations, and resolutions in an HR case management system.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, and other HR teams for resolving advanced employee queries.
- Educate employees and managers about HR policies, resources, and best practices.
- Simultaneously prioritize multiple cases while adhering to service level agreements and quality standards.
- Analyze trends and suggest improvements to enhance the overall employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources focusing on Employee Relations, preferably within a shared services environment.
- Proven background supporting employees and managers in high-volume, customer-oriented settings.
- Demonstrated ability to handle employee inquiries via telephone and case management systems effectively.
- Strong capability to interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Experience with HRIS and case management software such as SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large corporate or enterprise HR environments.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous.
- Previous involvement conducting employee relations investigations is a plus.
