Job description
Position Overview
As an integral part of the daily operations, you will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges within the Paderborn district. Your duties also include the care of green spaces and shrubs, securing and clearing work and accident sites. Additionally, during winter, you will be tasked with snow removal and spreading duties, operating vehicles such as trucks, Unimogs, or narrow-gauge machinery. The role also involves general tasks at the construction yard, including cleaning of vehicles and equipment, as well as performing minor repairs.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have completed vocational training as a road worker or in a trade related to civil engineering, building construction, gardening, agriculture, or forestry. Prior professional experience in municipal road maintenance is preferred.
Proficiency in handling motorized tools like brush cutters, pole pruners, and chainsaws is required. Possession of a driving license or strong willingness to acquire a Class CE license is essential.
The role demands readiness to work beyond regular hours and on weekends. Reliable, results-driven work ethics combined with strong teamwork abilities are crucial for success.
