Role overview

Ampacity is expanding quickly and is looking for a positive, collaborative Employee Experience Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This entry-level position works closely with the Construction and Services teams to improve the day-to-day experience of field employees and act as a key link between the field, Construction Management, and HR. The role is remote, requires availability during Pacific Time Zone hours, and involves about 20% travel. The posted pay range is $28 to $35 per hour.

What you will do

  • Build strong relationships with Construction and Services employees through proactive outreach and ongoing support.
  • Visit project sites from time to time to lift morale and reinforce a sense of care and connection.
  • Track attendance and EHS team communications, then contact employees to collect statements, witness accounts, and incident details for HR and Construction Management.
  • Partner with the Safety team to make sure reports, descriptions, and statements are completed accurately and shared with HR and Claims.
  • Act as the main communication point when an employee is dealing with illness, injury, or a loss in the family.
  • Support injured, sick, or bereaved employees with thoughtful care packages and similar gestures of support.

What you need to bring

  • Strong fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
  • A working understanding of solar construction processes.
  • A positive, approachable attitude and a willingness to support others.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Capacity to confirm mechanical completion and spot installation issues.
  • Comfort managing an expense account of about $10,000.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with little oversight.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and short-notice assignments.
