Role Overview

This opening is for an entry-level Employee Experience Specialist within the Human Resources department, working closely with Construction and Services teams. The position is designed to improve the day-to-day experience of field employees and act as a bridge between the field, Construction Management, and HR. It is a remote role and requires availability during Pacific Time hours. The job also involves about 20% travel.

The pay range for this role is $28 to $35 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect regularly with Construction and Services employees to build trust, strengthen relationships, and support a positive workplace culture.
  • Make periodic site visits to encourage teams and reinforce a sense of support on the ground.
  • Track attendance and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team communications, then follow up with employees to collect statements, witness accounts, and incident details for HR and Construction Management.
  • Partner with the Safety team to ensure reports, statements, and related documentation are completed accurately and shared with HR and Claims.
  • Act as the main communication point between relevant stakeholders when an employee is ill, injured, or dealing with a bereavement.
  • Send care packages or similar gestures of support to employees who are injured, sick, or grieving.

Candidate Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written, is required.
  • A basic understanding of solar construction operations and workflow.
  • A consistently positive and encouraging attitude.
  • Willingness and ability to travel from time to time.
  • Ability to verify mechanical completion and notice installation issues or deficiencies.
  • Comfort managing an expense budget of approximately $10,000.
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and with limited oversight.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and short-notice assignments.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive total compensation, including a market-leading salary and 401(k) access for eligible employees.
  • Paid time away from work, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
  • Health and wellness support designed to help employees maintain balance inside and outside work.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with additional health support.
  • Opportunities for career progression through internal promotion preference, training, and skill-building programs.
  • An inclusive, people-focused culture where employees are valued as whole individuals.
