Electronic Technician - Port Equipment

Role Overview

This position focuses on maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems used in port equipment. The role involves working with standard test instruments to check electronic units, interpret test findings, and decide whether adjustments are required to keep equipment performing reliably.

Core Duties

• Carry out electronic maintenance and diagnostic work to identify faults and restore equipment performance.
• Use standard testing tools to evaluate electronic units and analyze results for corrective action.
• Handle preventive maintenance tasks and calibration activities for equipment and related systems.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns and coordinate with manufacturers or field representatives when replacement components are needed.
• Offer support and practical recommendations for the installation, upgrade, and improvement of both new and existing equipment.
• Maintain safe and efficient working practices in the port area and workshop environments.
• Service and repair port ship-to-shore cranes, rubber tyred gantry cranes, rail mounted gantry cranes, and associated equipment.
