Role Overview
This on-site position located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE, seeks an Electrical Technician responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across airport facilities. Key duties include preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting to reduce downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety rules. The role demands proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and manuals and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. Collaboration with engineering and facilities personnel and engagement in ongoing infrastructure projects is also required.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, and control panels within airport premises.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and repair electrical faults promptly to minimize operational interruptions.
- Interpret technical documentation and adhere strictly to safety protocols and airport operational procedures.
- Document maintenance work systematically and coordinate with engineering teams for urgent repairs and upgrade initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in electrical maintenance and handling airport facility electrical equipment.
- Knowledgeable in electrical theory with practical application experience in operational settings.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for efficient and safe fault resolution.
- Possesses diploma or foundational training in Electrical Engineering or related technical disciplines.
- Holds vocational electrical certifications or trade licenses is advantageous.
- Experience in large-scale facilities, industrial plants, or aviation environments preferred.
- Capable of complying with safety measures, reading technical schematics, and using standard electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
