Job Description

  • Provide assistance to electricians and instrument technicians during both installation and maintenance operations.
  • Help with cable pulling, dressing, installing cable trays, and carrying out conduit work.
  • Assist in fitting junction boxes, isolators, panels, instruments, and various field devices.
  • Manage material handling duties such as moving, loading, and unloading electrical and instrumentation components.
  • Support cable preparation tasks including tagging, identification, and routing.
  • Aid with installation of sensors, transmitters, control equipment, and HVAC field instruments.
  • Assist in terminating cables under supervision of qualified technicians.
  • Organize and prepare necessary tools, equipment, and materials for everyday E&I tasks.
  • Conduct basic activities like cleaning, cutting, drilling, and installation support as directed.
  • Participate in testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure correct storage and handling of cables, instruments, and electrical materials.
  • Help troubleshoot by assisting technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a tidy, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Follow the guidance of the E&I Foreman to complete assigned duties.
  • Report any defective tools, unsafe situations, or shortages of materials to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Basic education or technical training is favored.
  • Elementary understanding of electrical, instrumentation, or HVAC disciplines is beneficial.
  • At least one to three years' experience as an E&I Helper, ideally within Oil & Gas or Industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with cables, cable trays, conduits, junction boxes, and field instruments.

  • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
  • Competence in safely using hand and power tools.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding manual labor.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and team collaboration ability.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
