Electrical Engineer - Fresh Graduate

About The Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking a motivated Fresh Graduate or Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and engineering teams. This role focuses on supporting commercial, retail, and mall projects. It is ideal for individuals with zero to two years of experience who are keen to develop their skills in electrical design coordination, site supervision, documentation, and project reporting under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the review of electrical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Support the coordination of electrical requirements, including owner and tenant scopes, and interface points with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in site visits and inspections, documenting observations and following up on action items, snag lists, and technical feedback.
• Aid in the review of electrical aspects for power, lighting, low-current, fire alarm systems, and HVAC interfaces.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, MEP teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare basic progress reports, meeting minutes, inspection summaries, and documentation logs.
• Help track project deliverables against approved schedules, drawings, and directives.
• Assist in managing RFIs, material submittals, shop drawings, as-built documentation, and handover packages.
• Adhere to safety regulations, local codes, and company protocols, escalating technical challenges to senior staff.
• Enhance technical expertise through hands-on involvement in design reviews, site implementation, testing, commissioning, and project closure.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Be a recent graduate or possess up to two years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op programs.
• Have a foundational understanding of power distribution, lighting systems, low-current systems, fire alarm systems, and electrical safety.
• Demonstrate a basic ability to interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit MEP or BIM is advantageous.
• Be adept with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Exhibit good communication skills in both Arabic and English, with a commitment to improving technical writing.
• Show strong attention to detail, a proactive learning attitude, and the capacity to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Be willing to conduct site visits and support field coordination as needed.
• Preference will be given to candidates registered with or eligible for registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
