Role overview
The Education & Events Coordinator supports Education, Events Management, and Clinical Services through a mix of administrative coordination, operational follow-through, and event logistics. The position works closely with leaders and cross-functional partners to keep daily work moving smoothly and to help deliver well-organized internal and external programs. Success in this role requires strong structure, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-moving team environment.
Event and program coordination
- Take primary responsibility for planning PCCA Speaker’s Bureau activities and VIP member events.
- Work with the Trade Show group to coordinate educational sessions for outside industry events.
- Support the Events Management team with education and training events, including setup, lab support, catering, and overall logistics.
- Help organize internal and external gatherings such as Culture Committee activities and other company-led initiatives.
Administrative and operational support
- Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Director of Events Management, Sr. Director of Education, and Sr. Director of Clinical Services.
- Keep the Clinical Services calendar current, including event scheduling and time-off coordination.
- Handle routine requests from Clinical Services team members and escalate exceptions to the Sr. Director when approval is needed.
- Prepare and circulate the weekly on-call pharmacist schedule.
- Support the intern and pharmacy student experience by managing onboarding, pre-arrival paperwork, and presentation scheduling.
- Act as a backup registrar for education courses for members and students.
- Step in as backup for event communications, including email and phone queue triage.
- Help prepare course and event materials such as printed items, assembled packets, and shipments.
- Receive cross-training in Cvent and EventMobi to assist with event setup and updates.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work with the Clinical Services team on event content and coordinate availability with the Sr. Director based on workload.
- Provide logistical support for key onsite Clinical Services team initiatives.
- Partner with internal departments to deliver education efforts and execute events successfully.
- Build productive working relationships across teams and leadership levels.
- Deliver strong customer service to members, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Additional expectations
- Contribute to special projects and other education- or event-related duties as needed.
- Some evening or weekend availability may be required.
- Serve as a lab assistant on rotation during PCCA training courses.

Role requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in administration, coordination, or a customer-facing role.
- Strong organization and time management abilities, with careful attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while staying on top of follow-up and follow-through.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with several teams and leadership levels.

- Practical, solution-oriented thinking with a service-minded approach to onboarding and logistics.
- High discretion and professionalism when handling schedules and leadership administrative tasks.
