About the Role
The Ecommerce Business Planning Manager will lead the financial structuring, consolidation, and governance of the e-commerce operations. This role is responsible for the budgeting, financial forecasting, and planning framework across various markets, channels, and functions to ensure accuracy, alignment, and dependability of financial data. The position ensures organizational stability and consistency, facilitating informed decision-making and supporting sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the annual and quarterly budgeting process for e-commerce across regions and channels, consolidating inputs from regional and functional teams and aligning targets, assumptions, and phasing with Finance.
- Update and maintain financial forecasts including Latest Estimate cycles, monitor budget performance, and promptly report significant variances and risks.
- Ensure uniformity of financial models, assumptions, and methodologies used across regions and sales channels.
- Lead monthly P&L review preparations by compiling accurate and comprehensive reports with insightful commentary.
- Assist the Head of Business Performance and ecommerce leadership in organizing and managing business review meetings on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Serve as the primary liaison between ecommerce and Finance/FP&A, ensuring reporting standards and submission deadlines are met.
- Oversee ecommerce planning calendars, templates, and submission workflows to maintain consistency and accuracy across the organization.
- Provide structured financial insights to support strategic and operational business decisions and collaborate closely with Finance to reflect ecommerce P&L accurately in corporate reports.
- Maintain all documentation and version management of planning and financial models.
Performance Metrics
- Timely and precise completion of budgets, forecasts, and Latest Estimates.
- Effective monitoring and explanatory reporting of budget variances.
- Consistency and quality in consolidated P&L figures across markets.
- Efficient execution of planning cycles and business review preparation.
- Stakeholder satisfaction, including Finance and leadership teams.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business planning, FP&A, commercial planning, or comparable fields.
- Background working within complex, multi-national retail or ecommerce settings.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, Latest Estimate processes, and financial consolidation.
- Proven track record in preparing and delivering P&L analyses for senior management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
- Understanding of ecommerce P&L structures and key performance indicator frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with Finance or FP&A teams within a structured planning context.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and reliability.
