Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for an Early Years Business Development Representative working within the SaaS and AI space. The company is a rapidly expanding global provider of generative AI software that helps organisations produce, manage, and improve bids, tenders, and proposals using advanced natural language processing. Based in Central London with a hybrid working pattern, the role sits within a business that has delivered 100% year-on-year growth and is now growing its sales function.
The package includes a £35,000 base salary plus £17,200 uncapped on-target earnings in year one. The environment is described as ambitious, collaborative, and focused on development, with a strong emphasis on career progression and learning.
What you will do
- Set up product demos with senior stakeholders and potential customers.
- Spot, assess, and qualify new commercial opportunities.
- Drive lead generation through outbound calls, targeted prospecting, and personalised messaging.
- Build tailored outreach sequences that communicate the company’s value clearly.
- Keep up with industry movements, events, and market developments to sharpen sales activity.
Candidate profile
The role is aimed at people who are eager to start or grow a career in sales and who are motivated by performance and progression. A strong academic record is preferred, ideally with a 2:1 or higher at undergraduate level. Experience in sales or recruitment would be beneficial, though it is not required.
Successful candidates should be resilient, self-driven, well organised, and comfortable working with a high level of detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to create rapport quickly are important, as is confidence using CRM platforms and other sales tools to manage pipelines and measure performance.
Growth and training
This position comes with a structured six-month sales training programme aimed at preparing you for success in a closing role. Progression is merit-based, with a clear path from BDR to Senior BDR and then Account Executive.
Benefits
- Uncapped commission with year-one OTE of £17,200.
- Choice of company laptop, either Mac or Windows.
- Regular team and company social events.
- Private healthcare cover.
- Life insurance.
- Hybrid arrangement with three days in the office.
Eligibility
Applicants should be highly motivated individuals interested in a sales career. A good undergraduate academic record is preferred. Prior exposure to sales or recruitment is an advantage, but the role is open to candidates without direct experience.
