Role overview
This position sits within the Sales & Marketing department in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The main purpose of the role is to keep the hotel website current, manage content updates in line with corporate manuals and policies, drive search engine optimization, run online marketing initiatives, and oversee how the hotel is presented across social media and other digital channels.
Website content management
- Keep all website language versions accurate, current, and aligned with the corporate CMS rules.
- Coordinate website improvements with the corporate office whenever enhancements are needed.
- Maintain room-type and rate descriptions in the online booking system, including translations and images, while working with relevant stakeholders.
- Build and regularly refine a keyword matrix for the hotel and use it when planning website copy.
- Make sure all text and imagery follow corporate brand standards.
- Develop and publish promotional material for special offers and packages in collaboration with Marketing and Revenue leadership.
- Review and update hotel details shown on the corporate hotel website.
- Provide support to the corporate office on website-related assignments when required.
Search engine optimization
- Use keywords effectively across website content.
- Track the hotel’s visibility in search engines and adjust content and keyword usage to improve ranking.
- Monitor competitor websites and search performance, then respond with suitable actions to protect competitiveness.
- Update meta descriptions and tags to improve discoverability.
- Work with the website agency and corporate office on optimization and enhancement requests.
Email marketing
- Grow and maintain a database of corporate and hotel newsletter subscribers through online and offline channels.
- Prepare and distribute regular corporate email newsletters to subscribed guests and individuals.
- Ensure all email communications match strategy and corporate identity guidelines.
Social media management
- Manage the hotel’s corporate social media presence according to brand policies and guidelines.
- Monitor and respond to social media and review-platform activity to maintain a consistent brand voice.
Digital marketing strategy
- Create and execute digital marketing initiatives for key feeder markets to attract qualified website visitors and improve revenue and conversions.
- Develop joint ecommerce opportunities with suitable local, regional, or national partners and websites.
- Support the hotel’s annual digital advertising plan and assist with PPC creative and media planning.
- Keep digital brand messaging aligned with broader marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Research digital media ads and articles in coordination with PR to help the hotel stay ahead in the market.
- Regularly review the hotel’s competitive set and maintain strong market positioning.
Photo optimization
- Ensure all images uploaded to the website meet corporate identity standards for quality.
- Avoid duplicate images across the website.
- Select and maintain signature visuals that represent both the hotel and the brand.
Website analytics and reporting
- Study user behavior, site performance, and referral sources, then act on the findings.
- Review booking performance reports from the website analytics platform and the hotel Opera property management system.
- Share monthly KPI reports with hotel management as well as regional and corporate teams.
Operational support
- Help monitor and protect rate parity across all electronic distribution channels with the Revenue Director/Manager.
- Support corporate initiatives and provide hotel feedback whenever corporate coordination is needed.
Training and development
- Complete all required corporate training and communicate relevant learnings to department heads.
