Job description
About the role
CHANEL is looking for a seasoned eBusiness professional to support the SEAA Fragrance & Beauty division for a 12-month maternity cover. This is a performance-oriented position focused on strengthening brand presence, improving commercial outcomes, and shaping a better online client journey across the region.
In this role, you will be responsible for advancing CHANEL’s eBusiness agenda in SEAA, tracking and interpreting business performance, guiding A/B testing and merchandising initiatives, and contributing to the launch and growth of new digital sales channels. You will work closely with markets and cross-functional teams to bring insight, direction, and executional excellence to regional eBusiness activities.
Digital campaigns and e-merchandising
- Adapt regional digital campaign planning so that global calendars are translated into locally relevant execution aligned with market priorities.
- Apply strong e-merchandising expertise to improve online performance through product recommendations, search optimisation, menu and category structure, and other actions that help expand digital business.
- Review the full customer path from traffic acquisition through conversion and continuously refine the online experience using data, observation, and commercial judgement.
Performance and analytics
- Use data and analytics independently to surface clear business insights and support ongoing optimisation.
- Set and align key performance indicators across client, brand, sales, and profitability measures with relevant stakeholders.
- Spot reporting or data gaps, suggest appropriate tools and solutions, and help improve the quality and adoption of reporting frameworks.
A/B testing and personalisation
- Own the regional A/B testing programme according to market needs, with thorough documentation and reporting.
- Partner with global and regional stakeholders to embed testing and personalisation into the customer journey, working across technology, CRM, marketing, and design functions.
Project management and collaboration
- Lead campaign-related and new initiative projects such as gift finder and try-before-you-commit experiences.
- Handle several projects at once, ensuring requests are captured, prioritised, and delivered to maximise business value.
- Proactively recommend and drive new ideas that strengthen both client experience and brand equity.
eBusiness excellence
- Bring an entrepreneurial perspective that reflects changing online behaviours and market trends.
- Serve as a strong advocate for eBusiness strategy, supporting the broader goal of doubling .com revenue by 2028.
Why this opportunity stands out
You will be part of a people-focused culture where individuality, collaboration, and personal growth are valued. The position offers the chance to influence the digital direction of CHANEL’s Fragrance & Beauty business in SEAA while working with talented colleagues across the region.
What you bring
- At least 8 years of experience in eBusiness, preferably within luxury or premium fragrance and beauty.
- Strong knowledge of performance marketing and media is highly desirable.
- Solid capability in Google Analytics is preferred.
- Good understanding of how to balance premium brand positioning with a refined client experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multicultural environment with varied stakeholders.
- Comfort working in a data-led, commercially driven way.
- Strategic mindset with an innovative approach to online business.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce and retail operations, including e-merchandising, CRM, promotions, media, stock management, last-mile delivery, and invoicing.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-focused, with the ability to work independently and use sound judgement.
- Flexible, positive, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
- Empathetic communicator who can build strong relationships across APAC markets.
- Strong project management and multitasking ability, including comfort with ambiguity and competing priorities.
