Role overview
This is a permanent, full-time driving position based in Geelong, supporting a new container deposit scheme recycling operation. The role involves collecting returned containers, moving material to recycling and disposal sites, and providing courteous service throughout the process.
The shift pattern runs from Wednesday to Sunday, with an early start at 5:30am.
Key duties
- Operate a rear-lift collection truck safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily start-up inspections and basic maintenance checks on the vehicle and related equipment.
- Transport collected loads to the assigned recycling and disposal facilities.
- Follow fatigue management requirements, rules, and training obligations at all times.
- Represent the company professionally and deliver a consistently high standard of customer service.
Candidate profile
- A valid HR licence and practical driving experience are required.
- You must be available to work Wednesday through Sunday.
- A clean driving history is expected.
- The role requires good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling tasks.
- A strong service mindset and customer-focused approach are important.
- You should be prepared to complete pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screening.
Compensation and work schedule
- The pay rate is $33.42 per hour.
- This is a permanent full-time role in Geelong.
