Job description
About the opportunity
You will join a supportive, close-working team handling the pickup and movement of different waste streams from customer locations across Northwest Tasmania. The role involves driving Heavy Rigid vehicles and working with modern equipment across local municipal routes, so each day brings varied work.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Spreyton. Early morning starts are part of the role, generally between 5:00 am and 6:00 am.

Key duties
- Travel to multiple client locations
- Collect waste and recyclable materials
- Deliver waste to approved local disposal facilities
- Support secure, long-term contracts
What you’ll need
- A current ordinary C-class licence
- Readiness to learn and build new capabilities
- Previous waste industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
- A trustworthy approach and a positive mindset
- Strong planning, organisation, and time-management ability
