Job description
Position Summary
We are in search of a proficient Drilling & Well Equipment Coordinator to facilitate Completion and Well Intervention operations by managing the availability, integrity, certification, and prompt deployment of essential well intervention and completion equipment. This position is crucial in overseeing warehouse functions, equipment logistics, quality assurance, inventory control, and ensuring operational readiness across both offshore and onshore sites.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse operations supporting Completion and Well Intervention tasks.
- Prioritize preparation, maintenance, and mobilization of equipment aligned with drilling and intervention timetables.
- Maintain optimum inventory for completion and intervention tools and sub-assemblies.
- Monitor and track vital equipment to guarantee precise location awareness at all times.
- Carry out equipment inspection, approval, and preparation for offshore load-out.
- Manage equipment returns, inspections, repairs, and replacements efficiently.
- Perform QA/QC acceptance checks on incoming equipment and materials ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Verify equipment specifications including dimensions, threading, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Review assembly documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee and perform inspections and spot checks of vendor-performed assembly and pressure tests.
- Ensure operational integrity of critical completion devices such as SCSSSVs, Hydraulic Control Modules, Ball Valves, and other equipment.
- Coordinate assembly, testing, and readiness assessment of completion sub-assemblies in line with standards.
- Guarantee adequate stock of critical completion sub-assemblies to meet operational needs.
- Monitor vendor performance ensuring quality standards during preparation and testing phases.
- Organize movement of equipment between warehouses, offshore locations, contractors, and service providers.
- Assist mobilization and demobilization for drilling, completion, and intervention activities.
- Conduct pre-loadout inspections at vendor and contractor sites.
- Ensure transportation activities meet operational and safety protocols.
- Handle material movements and equipment tracking using SAP and related workflows.
- Keep all service equipment maintained, calibrated, certified, and fit for its purpose.
- Develop and maintain certification and testing programs for Pressure Control Equipment and intervention equipment.
- Coordinate inspections including pressure testing, magnetic particle inspection, thread inspection, and certification maintenance.
- Support offshore operations through thorough equipment readiness and logistics coordination.
- Provide technical and operational support to Well Intervention Supervisors.
- Maintain and improve systems for action tracking and equipment readiness.
- Ensure seamless communication and handover between offshore and onshore teams regarding equipment activities.
- Manage equipment inventory and movements within SAP, including raising and handling work and service orders.
- Maintain precise records of equipment status, maintenance, certification, and inventory.
- Ensure all operational documents comply with company standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas sector.
- At least 3 years of experience in offshore operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting Completion and Well Intervention operations.
- Strong proficiency in equipment management, warehouse operations, logistics, and QA/QC procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of Completion and Well Intervention equipment, Slickline operations, Pressure Control Equipment, equipment certification, and testing protocols.
- Experience using SAP for material management and equipment tracking.
- Understanding of inventory control and logistics coordination, alongside QA/QC inspection standards.
- IWCF Level 2 certification is desirable.
- Additional certifications related to HSE, Well Intervention, QA/QC, or equipment inspection are advantageous.
