Key responsibilities

  • Use 3D modelling software to create practical, safe, cost-conscious, and manufacturing-ready designs.
  • Prepare precise 2D drawings and schematics for engineering work.
  • Develop assembly, interface, and general arrangement drawings for different projects.
  • Work with engineers and internal stakeholders to capture requirements and convert them into deliverables.
  • Make sure all drawings align with applicable standards, regulations, and quality expectations.
  • Revise drawings in response to feedback and maintain proper version control and documentation.
  • Support drafting tasks throughout design, build, and production stages.
  • Take part in training and development to keep building capability over time.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience in technical drafting or a similar design-oriented role.
  • Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks or comparable CAD tools, along with a solid grasp of drafting fundamentals.
  • Experience preparing machining drawings.
  • Ability to use drafting software and related tools to produce accurate, high-quality outputs.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to meet project deadlines.
  • HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent practical, time-served experience.
  • Current understanding of drafting practices, engineering standards, regulations, and best practice.

Benefits

  • Earlier finish on Fridays.
  • Competitive pay and benefits package based on experience, including private medical insurance, life assurance, cycle-to-work scheme, and company pension.
  • Clear routes for career growth and better visibility within the organisation.
  • A supportive and inclusive workplace that values individual contribution.
  • Work that contributes to safety, innovation, and operations on a global scale.
