Job description
Role overview
An opportunity has opened for two Domestic Assistants to join the Facilities Team at St Ann's Hospital in a hospital housekeeping setting. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment across the site while supporting the wider facilities operation.
Working pattern
One position is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The second is a part-time post of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The rota may need to change so the team can meet service demands. Extra hours are generally available to help cover annual leave and sickness absence. Any additional weekend hours attract enhanced pay, and a generous annual leave allowance is offered.
Main purpose of the role
You will support the Facilities Supervisor by helping to make sure cleanliness standards across the buildings are consistently delivered and maintained.
Key duties
- Carry out cleaning tasks across the site in line with NHS cleaning standards and the agreed rota.
- Help with weekly duties that support the delivery of items throughout the site.
- Work as part of the facilities team to maintain a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
Checks and eligibility
This position requires an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust will pay for. If you are already registered with the DBS update service, you may present a valid certificate instead of completing a new check.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK and must not need sponsorship if appointed.
