Dog Handler/Trainer

Role Overview

An exclusive private household in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Dog Trainer / Handler to manage the care, training, and medical support of its dogs. The role is suited to someone with strong professional experience, a veterinary background, and the ability to work discreetly in a VIP environment.

Pet Care & Handling

• Take full responsibility for the dogs’ daily well-being and routine care.
• Provide feeding, grooming, exercise, and continuous observation of overall health.
• Keep kennels and pet living spaces clean, safe, and maintained to a very high standard.
• Supervise walks and outdoor activities with the dogs.

Training Duties

• Lead daily obedience and behaviour-focused training sessions.
• Evaluate dog behaviour and apply corrective training methods where needed.
• Keep training routines consistent and maintain proper records of progress.

Veterinary Support

• Track and administer prescribed medications as directed.
• Maintain detailed medical files, vaccination schedules, and pet passport records.
• Accompany dogs to vet visits and respond to medical emergencies when required.
• Review veterinary updates and pass relevant information to the employer.
• Ensure all animal health and welfare standards are upheld at all times.

Requirements

• Professional certification in dog training is mandatory, along with a veterinary background.
• Applicants must have proven experience handling dogs in a professional setting.
• A strong grasp of canine behaviour, health, and welfare is essential.
• Willingness and ability to travel with the pets when needed.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities are required.
• The candidate must be professional, discreet, and trustworthy.
• Only applicants currently living in the UAE will be considered.
