This opportunity is based in Miami, Florida and sits at the center of building and scaling Vuori’s distinctive retail experience in a high-growth environment.
The District Manager will serve as the key brand representative for the region, helping create a store culture where customers enjoy a memorable experience, employees perform at their best, and the business continues to grow. This person will also help strengthen community ties by working with Marketing on local events and activations.
Leadership and Team Management
- Guide the stores in your region through regular check-ins, on-site visits, and development discussions while continuously reviewing and improving operating processes.
- Support hiring across store roles by aligning with store vision and strategy, helping General Managers make strong hiring decisions, and building a diverse, customer-focused team.
- Help create a performance-driven culture with ongoing feedback, support, recognition, coaching, and training aligned to global behaviors and performance expectations.
- Stay current on regional labor and HR compliance requirements, and work with HR and the People team to resolve employee matters when needed.
- Build, review, and improve onboarding and ongoing learning materials for retail teams, adding new training resources proactively when necessary.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the communication bridge between headquarters and retail stores, keeping information flowing both ways to improve operations and employee experience.
- Build a system for sharing ideas, customer insights, and best practices from store teams to the corporate team.
- Partner with the Retail New Store Opening Manager and related teams to support openings of new stores in your region.
Sales and Store Operations
- Take ownership of regional store performance by tracking targets, revenue drivers, and KPIs, and by creating short- and long-term sales plans in partnership with Marketing.
- Work with Merchandising and Marketing to maintain brand standards across the region, including windows, displays, and fixtures.
- Support store scheduling and payroll, ensure proper staffing, resolve payroll or staffing issues with store managers and Finance, and confirm adherence to holiday pay, overtime, and related policies.
- Monitor and maintain regional P&L performance while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.
- Ensure each store meets standards for merchandising, cleanliness, inventory levels, backroom organization, safety, and operating procedures.
Community Engagement
- Lead community growth efforts by reaching new audiences and increasing traffic in established markets.
- Build strong local relationships and maintain awareness of the surrounding customer base and community.
- Work with General Managers to represent the brand locally through charitable involvement and partnerships with studios, gyms, teams, and athletes.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of leadership experience in multi-unit retail.
- A strong drive to improve the customer experience and consistently exceed expectations.
- A hands-on ownership mindset with the ability to identify what is not working and turn feedback into action.
- Availability that fits business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Substantial experience with P&L, POS, and CRM systems.
- Strong ability to build relationships, influence others, coordinate across teams, and manage several priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
- Deep knowledge of HR processes such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and performance management.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
