Role Overview
The District Manager will lead a commercial floral territory with a strong emphasis on planning, execution, and growth. This role owns the financial performance of the assigned area, uses data to spot opportunities, and stays closely connected with field teams to make sure company policies and initiatives are carried out effectively. The position also involves building productive relationships with team members and customer accounts, shaping plans to achieve business objectives, recruiting strong talent, and maintaining the quality of fresh-cut flowers delivered to customers.
The company is seeking someone with a solid work ethic, demonstrated experience managing multiple locations in retail or merchandising, and a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
This District Manager will represent the company across an assigned territory that includes more than 100 locations. The territory covers Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri. Candidates must already live within the territory, be familiar with the area, and no relocation assistance is offered.
Major Responsibilities
- Own the profitability and overall performance of all locations in the assigned district by reviewing P&L statements, budgets, and other operating reports.
- Create and carry out business plans that support company goals and keep operational processes running efficiently.
- Use available tools to improve inventory presentation and manage the portfolio effectively.
- Monitor district performance, identify gaps between results and projections, prioritize underperforming locations, and build action plans to meet organizational targets.
- Develop strong working relationships with store leaders, field supervisors, sales staff, and peers through regular business meetings.
- Spot new growth opportunities across operations, including distribution flow, merchandising, schematic planning, recruitment, training, employee relations, and customer service.
- Spend at least 40% of working time in the field with the Field Supervisor team to confirm that initiatives, policies, and procedures are being implemented correctly, and adjust plans as needed after field follow-up.
- Network actively to attract outside talent and partner with the supervisor team to hire strong candidates.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the field team, including career planning, training program oversight, and ongoing motivation and guidance.
- Build and retain a committed Field Supervisor team that can protect margins and deliver the business plan.
- Make sure all customer agreements are fulfilled.
- Protect product quality, inventory levels, staffing standards, and workplace safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Prior people-management experience as a Field Supervisor within the company.
- Strong leadership and sound judgment in decision-making.
- Working knowledge of business development and strategy execution.
- An entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and growth.
- Ability to sell, manage operations, and drive expansion.
- Strong customer relationship management capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to travel across multiple locations in the assigned territory using a personal vehicle.
- Comfort working with associates and customers directly.
- Willingness to work long and flexible hours.
- Open availability, including weekends.
- Physical capability to push and pull freezer doors weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds.
- Occasional truck unloading duties.
- Ability to bend, lift, stoop, walk, stand, twist, and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements.
- Limited sitting required.
- Ability to drive long distances as part of the role.

Job type: Full-time, exempt.
Reporting line: Reports to the Regional Manager.
Territory: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri.
Relocation: No relocation allowance is provided.
Work schedule: Long and flexible hours are expected, with weekends required and open availability needed.
Team Structure
This position supervises Field Supervisors and is part of the pathway toward Regional Manager.
Compensation
Pay is commensurate with experience.
