Job description
About the Role
Flanigan’s is looking for a Dishwasher to help keep the restaurant spotless, organized, and fully sanitized. This position plays an important part in maintaining the clean, welcoming appearance of the location and in supporting the kitchen team with consistent dish and equipment cleaning.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety rules, sanitation standards, and required training procedures.
- Clean, wash, and sanitize plateware, glassware, silverware, cookware, kitchen tools, and other service items according to Flanigan’s sanitation requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift by keeping all assigned areas clean and sanitized.
- Keep the kitchen tidy by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors.
- Handle assigned prep tasks, opening and closing duties, and beautification-related work.
- Set up, monitor, and close down the dish machine during opening, operating hours, and closing.
- Support other team members whenever additional help is needed.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to remain standing and walking for the full shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, and stoop as part of the job.
- Frequent contact with water and diluted chemical cleaning solutions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times during a shift, including placing items on high shelves and in coolers/freezers.
- Comfortable working indoors in damp and high-temperature conditions, with minimal outdoor exposure.
- Ability to work safely around hot plates, pots, pans, knives, and other sharp utensils.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Completion and passing of the required food safety certification in line with Flanigan’s and Florida law.
Schedule
The role follows a five-day workweek with two consecutive days off.
