About the Role

Tommy Bahama is an island-inspired lifestyle brand that blends hospitality, food, and guest service. In this role, you’ll help maintain a smooth back-of-house operation while supporting a welcoming, high-standard dining experience. The position is based in Waimea, Hawaii and is focused on keeping kitchen and dish areas clean, organized, and ready for service.

What You’ll Do

• Work cooperatively with the team and contribute to a positive, hospitality-driven environment.
• Wash and sanitize tableware, cookware, pans, pots, and other kitchen equipment.
• Keep the dish area orderly, clean, and well maintained throughout the shift.
• Help uphold kitchen safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in line with required agency guidelines.

What You Need

• At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced culinary or hospitality setting.
• A valid food handler’s card and any other certifications required by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
• Working knowledge of restaurant storage and rotation practices, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, and proper handling of dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Ability to handle routine housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Willingness to take on additional job-related tasks as needed to support business operations.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting and moving of items up to about 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Standing for most or all of the shift.
• Ability to handle equipment and tools such as a hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other items referenced in training materials.
• Work schedule may vary based on business requirements.

Compensation and Employment Notes

The pay range for this position is $19.00 per hour or the applicable minimum wage, up to $21.00 per hour. Actual pay may depend on experience, knowledge, skills, location, and budget availability.
