About the Role

At Stanley’s Bar and Grill, part of the Stanley Park Pavilion heritage site in Vancouver, we are seeking a diligent and energetic dishwasher to join our team. Located near the lively West End neighborhood and popular tourist spots, this role is vital in supporting our kitchen's smooth operation and upholding our commitment to quality service.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwasher efficiently, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and visibly spotless.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including assisting with kitchen sanitation tasks.
• Support the Head Chef and Line Cooks with various duties as needed.
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures.
• Manage laundry rotation effectively.
• Communicate positively with the Serving Team.
• Assist in daily shipping, receiving, and distribution of kitchen supplies.
• Remove garbage, recycling, and other waste to designated storage areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and stock dishes, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment in appropriate areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the walk-in cooler and other storage areas.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following HAACP and Food Safe standards and internal safety guidelines.
• Remain alert to workplace hazards and report safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain personal health and safety standards, including refraining from any substances impairing work ability.

Qualifications

• Food Safe Level 1 certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication abilities; multilingual candidates are advantageous.
• Capability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and climb step ladders or stools.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Compensation and Work Conditions

This is a casual, part-time employment with hourly compensation starting at $19.33 plus additional gratuities.
