Job description
Role Overview
This position supports school discipline operations by handling incident follow-up, supervising students in detention or suspension settings, and assisting with behaviour-related interventions and daily school safety routines.
Working Hours
- Minimum 3 working days each week
- Daily schedule: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out investigations, gather witness or involved-party statements, organise supporting evidence, and draft incident reports.
- Oversee detention sessions while keeping accurate records of attendance and student behaviour.
- Plan and help implement reflection and restitution activities.
- Monitor students serving suspension and support their reintegration through re-entry activities.
- Assist with recess dismissal, conduct patrols around school premises, and contribute to peer mediation efforts.
Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Youth Work, or Community Services; or
- Retired law enforcement officer from the Ministry of Home Affairs; or
- Retired school employee with prior discipline-related experience.
