Director / Vice President – Investments (Healthcare & Biotechnology)

Overview

We are collaborating with an established investment holding company to recruit a Director / Vice President specializing in Investments. This pivotal position focuses on sourcing, assessing, executing, and managing investments within the healthcare and biotechnology fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and completion of investment deals spanning healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences.
• Perform financial modelling, commercial assessments, valuations, due diligence, and formulate investment proposals.
• Oversee the full transaction execution lifecycle, including deal structuring, negotiations, and documentation.
• Monitor portfolio companies closely, collaborating with their management teams to promote growth and enhance value.
• Craft investment theses by conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and benchmarking competitors.
• Establish and nurture relationships with founders, management, financial sponsors, investment banks, and key industry players.
• Develop investment committee presentations and present strategic recommendations to senior leaders.
• Assist in fundraising efforts, strategic alliance formations, and other corporate projects as required.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, principal investments, or corporate development.
• Extensive transaction experience involving mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, and capital raising.
• Proven advisory or investment history within healthcare, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
• Exceptional skills in financial modelling, valuation, and analytical review.
• Strong commercial awareness paired with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or related fields. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or CFA are welcome.

Preferred Profile

• Currently holds a Vice President or Director role within a prominent investment bank, private equity firm, sovereign wealth fund, or investment platform.
• Proven success in executing intricate deals in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.
• Possesses sharp commercial judgment to spot lucrative investment opportunities and foster value growth.
• Entrepreneurially spirited and comfortable working within a streamlined, high-achieving investment team.
