Director Supply Chain Operations

Role Overview

This position is for an accomplished supply chain leader who will take charge of end-to-day and strategic supply chain operations for a remote team based in the United States. The role focuses on building and executing supply chain plans, improving operational performance, coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and streamlining processes to help the business run efficiently and grow in a sustainable way.

Background in medical manufacturing, medical devices, industrial manufacturing, healthcare products, or similar sectors is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the everyday functioning and long-term planning of the supply chain operations function.
• Create and roll out supply chain strategies that align with company goals.
• Handle inventory, warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities.
• Work with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Track supply chain performance and improve cost efficiency and service quality.
• Spot operational risks and put mitigation measures in place.
• Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
• Partner with production, procurement, quality, and customer service teams.
• Build, refine, and maintain supply chain policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Lead, coach, and grow the supply chain operations team.
• Take on additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the company.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related area.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership and team management experience.
• Deep understanding of supply chain operations, inventory control, and logistics workflows.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Well-developed analytical skills and sound judgment for decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and deliver projects and operational goals.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and ERP platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to global supply chain operations and international logistics.
• Experience driving supply chain optimization and cost reduction.
• Familiarity with ERP software and supply chain planning tools.
