Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from 110000 to 160000, supplemented by eligibility for bonuses and sales incentives. Role Summary

The Director of Trade Development acts as the key liaison between local markets and suppliers, steering a team to excel in supplier program activations that meet volume and value goals. The position requires strategic oversight of team priorities, resource allocation, and adherence to brand strategies to optimize market impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain open and consistent communication between field sales and supplier marketing teams.
• Implement and drive comprehensive sales strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Oversee planning, execution, and assessment of sales, promotional, and marketing initiatives.
• Lead supplier planning activities, including meetings and business reviews with leadership.
• Direct the creation and deployment of marketing programs aligned with supplier objectives.
• Manage purchasing, shipments, and local inventory for assigned suppliers, ensuring incentive programs are effectively planned.
• Ensure brand pricing and gross profit adherence by sales channel.
• Collaborate with Commercial Finance on fund management related to marketing and brand planning.
• Utilize analytics tools to gain insights on market trends, consumer behavior, and key account dynamics.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of business intelligence reporting consistent with regional requirements.
• Foster trade relationships through participation in industry-related events.
• Conduct monthly retail outlet surveys to monitor competitors and market conditions.
• Coach and manage team members by setting clear expectations and monitoring performance.
• Recruit, retain, and motivate staff to maintain a positive and compliant work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of seven years' relevant industry experience.
• Capability to obtain and maintain required industry licenses.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with state auto-liability insurance requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of computer use involving typing and device operation.
• Physical activities including walking, standing, bending, reaching, squatting, and stooping.
• Driving up to two hours at a time throughout the day.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 48 pounds.
