About the Role

This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner firm seeking a seasoned Director of Talent & People based in the United States. This role provides a unique chance to lead and expand the talent and people function within a fast-paced, technology-centric organization.

You will be accountable for directing overall talent strategies, managing people operations, and enhancing employee experience, as well as creating scalable systems that empower team success. Collaborating closely with executive leadership, you will shape how the company attracts, nurtures, and retains exceptional talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously refine the comprehensive Talent and People strategy to ensure organizational readiness for future growth through appropriate structures and processes.
  • Oversee company-wide talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, and recruitment operations to enhance hiring efficiency, quality, and predictability.
  • Lead and develop the recruiting team by establishing scalable hiring practices across various departments and geographical regions.
  • Provide personal assistance for leadership-level hiring initiatives by optimizing interview processes, improving candidate experience, and structuring evaluation frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain effective people operations systems for onboarding, offboarding, policy documentation, and employee support mechanisms.
  • Cultivate a positive employee lifecycle experience by clarifying roles, responsibilities, hierarchies, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with leadership on organizational design, team structures, workforce planning, and operational enhancements.
  • Implement performance management, feedback, career progression, and employee retention schemes to boost engagement and growth.
  • Generate insights into organizational health through people data analytics and proactively identify potential talent risks.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executives, delivering actionable solutions and establishing infrastructures that support long-term expansion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 to 10+ years of leadership experience in Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Human Resources, or comparable functions.
  • Proven track record supporting organizations exceeding 100 employees, preferably within high-growth startups, technology firms, or fast-scaling environments.
  • Experience managing recruitment teams and overseeing full-cycle hiring processes.
  • Deep understanding of people operations in remote-first or globally distributed company settings.
  • Demonstrated success building recruitment workflows, onboarding systems, performance review procedures, and employee development programs.
  • Direct partnership experience with founders, executives, or senior leadership on strategic workforce planning and talent decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational judgment, decision-making capabilities, and adaptability to operate amid limited data and shifting priorities.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset emphasizing execution, problem-solving, and ongoing improvements.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable performing in a dynamic environment where creating and refining systems and processes is essential.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive total annual compensation ranging from $40,000 to $90,000 USD, inclusive of base salary, performance bonuses, and equity options.
  • Fully remote work setup offering flexibility to operate from the location that best suits your productivity.
  • Opportunity to architect and influence the people infrastructure of a rapidly growing enterprise.
  • High autonomy and visibility, with direct collaboration alongside executive leadership.
  • Impactful position centered on developing teams, enhancing workforce experience, and driving organizational growth.
  • A flexible, trust-based, distributed culture committed to accountability and results.
