Role Overview

This opening represents a partner organization seeking an experienced Director of Talent Acquisition based in the United States. The position entails leading the creation and expansion of a top-tier talent acquisition function within a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will direct all facets of recruitment strategy, including systems, employer branding, team leadership, and collaboration with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously refine end-to-end hiring processes including recruiting workflows, interview structures, evaluation criteria, and scorecards.
  • Establish a reliable recruiting engine that enhances metrics such as time-to-hire, quality of hires, pipeline strength, and candidate engagement.
  • Oversee recruitment across diverse functional areas, both technical and non-technical, including engineering, product, operations, growth, curriculum, delivery, and revenue teams.
  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies to build strong candidate pipelines and attract qualified finalists.
  • Manage employer branding efforts to foster an attractive and consistent candidate experience that highlights company mission, culture, and impact.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators while establishing effective operational rhythms.
  • Partner with senior executives and hiring managers to align hiring plans with business objectives and workforce needs.
  • Implement and maintain recruiting metrics and reporting frameworks to track funnel performance and inform strategic decisions.
  • Leverage technology and AI tools to improve recruitment efficiency while preserving critical human judgment.
  • Ensure inclusive, consistent hiring practices focused on identifying candidates with the highest potential for success.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years in talent acquisition, with extensive leadership experience managing recruiting teams during growth and change.
  • Demonstrated success in designing or overhauling hiring processes including interview frameworks and candidate evaluation methods.
  • Experience recruiting for both technical and business roles across multiple departments.
  • Proficient in using recruiting metrics and data analytics to optimize hiring pipelines and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Track record of building scalable talent pipelines and employer branding programs that attract top-tier candidates.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a history of developing high-performance recruitment teams.
  • Capability to influence and advise executives and hiring managers strategically while upholding hiring standards.
  • Familiarity with modern recruiting platforms and automation technologies including applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
  • Comfortable integrating AI-based recruiting tools to enhance efficiency without compromising essential human decisions.
  • Previous experience in fast-growing startup or rapidly scaling environments strongly favored.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytics, and stakeholder management abilities.

Compensation and Benefits
