Position Overview
SBH Fashion is looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Supply Chain & Logistics to lead our global wholesale supply chain activities. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role manages the complete flow of goods starting from overseas manufacturing through import, warehousing, allocation, and final delivery to customers. The ideal candidate will foster operational excellence, build scalable processes, and ensure smooth execution across all supply chain phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including inbound imports and outbound wholesale distribution.
- Lead and mentor a team consisting of two Allocators, an Import Coordinator, and overseas Order Entry Coordinators.
- Manage inbound logistics from overseas factories, including production tracking, freight forwarding, ocean and air shipments, customs paperwork, and inventory flow into warehouses.
- Supervise outbound logistics to ensure timely and accurate order allocation, routing, shipment, and delivery.
- Track open orders and inventory, identify supply chain risks proactively, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Act as the main liaison with the third-party logistics provider (3PL), ensuring inventory accuracy and optimal operational performance.
- Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, transport providers, and logistics partners to balance costs and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides and shipping standards for various retail accounts including mass, mid-tier, off-price, and club formats.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Sourcing, and Finance to coordinate inventory and demand fulfillment priorities.
- Design KPIs and reporting tools to enhance visibility of inbound and outbound supply chain operations.
- Implement process improvements to boost efficiency, cut costs, and enable business expansion.
- Utilize AMT ERP software for order management, inventory control, reporting, and operational tracking.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years in progressively responsible supply chain, logistics, or operations leadership roles within consumer-focused industries such as apparel, pet products, or home goods.
- Extensive expertise managing both inbound import logistics and outbound wholesale distribution operations.
- Proven experience supporting mass retail, mid-tier, off-price, and club accounts; Walmart experience is highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of import logistics processes, including freight forwarding and customs compliance, as well as allocation, routing, and 3PL management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strong operational teams and execute cross-functional initiatives effectively.
- Experience with ERP systems required; familiarity with AMT ERP is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 per year.
