Job description
Role overview
An established cosmetic contract manufacturer is looking for a senior supply chain leader to steer procurement, inventory, and shipping/receiving operations while the business scales and modernizes its processes. This is a leadership position for someone who can bring structure, supplier discipline, and operational improvement to a complex manufacturing environment.
What you will do
- Take ownership of the procurement, inventory, and shipping/receiving functions, including direct team leadership.
- Oversee sourcing of raw materials and packaging across a high-SKU, high-complexity environment.
- Build and maintain supplier partnerships while negotiating commercial terms and improving cost, quality, and lead times.
- Manage inventory control for thousands of SKUs, keeping stock accurate, available, and appropriately balanced.
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Production, and Quality teams to maintain smooth material movement and strong operational performance.
- Help implement Lean management practices and ongoing continuous-improvement programs.
- Spot supply chain constraints, risks, and interruptions, then drive corrective action.
What the company is looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or certifications are a plus.
- At least 8–10+ years of experience in supply chain leadership covering procurement, inventory, and logistics.
- Proven responsibility for sizeable raw-material spending and substantial inventory holdings.
- Experience in cosmetics, OTC, consumer goods, food, pharma, or similar manufacturing settings is preferred.
- Strong people leadership in a fast-moving and changing environment.
- Hands-on exposure to supplier performance management, contract negotiation, and cost-of-goods reduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments and/or Lean methods would be beneficial.
