Role overview
This is a senior sourcing leadership position based in France. The role is centered on guiding global supply chain sourcing activities to improve supplier performance, control costs, and protect continuity of supply. It calls for both strategic direction and day-to-day leadership across supplier management, negotiations, and governance, with a strong emphasis on ethical conduct and quality standards.
You will work closely with teams across manufacturing, quality, marketing, and operations to support business growth, product availability, and operational readiness. In addition to driving sourcing strategy, you will be responsible for building a capable and accountable team that can deliver continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Accountabilities
- Design and deliver sourcing plans that strengthen supplier performance, improve cost efficiency, and support dependable long-term supply across global operations.
- Create sourcing approaches that fit business goals, including supplier development plans, location-based sourcing models, and risk reduction measures.
- Handle supplier selection, qualification, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization, while securing robust service and supply terms.
- Manage supplier performance systems, including scorecards, periodic business reviews, escalation handling, and corrective action tracking.
- Work with Quality and other functions to organize supplier audits and close out audit findings on time.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Marketing, and Operations to enable launches, ensure material readiness, and keep production plans on track.
- Lead, develop, and coach the sourcing team while reinforcing responsibility, collaboration, ethics, and ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Substantial background in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership, preferably in complex international settings.
- Deep knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing methods.
- Experience running supplier performance programs, audits, and improvement initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Hands-on people leadership experience, including coaching, development planning, and performance management.
- Practical familiarity with procurement systems, ERP solutions, and supplier management tools.
- Strong analytical ability, clear communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.
