Position Overview
The Director of Revenue Operations role calls for a seasoned, proactive, and highly organized leader to manage and supervise the Customer Service Representatives, Billing Team, and Inventory Team. This pivotal position ensures precise billing, prompt invoicing, effective customer support, robust inventory management, and seamless collaboration across operations, sales, accounting, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and oversee customer service, billing, and inventory teams, driving daily priorities aligned with department and business objectives.
- Define clear performance expectations, monitor workloads, attendance, productivity, and foster a service-driven and accountable team culture.
- Enhance inter-team communication and coordination, maintain procedural documentation, conduct team meetings, and report updates to executive leadership.
- Supervise customer service activities involving order processing, account coordination, escalated issue resolution, and maintain high service standards in partnership with sales and operations.
- Manage comprehensive accounts receivable operations including invoice preparation, billing accuracy checks, discrepancy resolution, and collaboration with related departments for order corrections and financial reconciliations.
- Oversee inventory operations ensuring accurate transaction reviews, discrepancy handling, audit readiness, and continuous process improvements.
- Implement department metrics, identify operational inefficiencies, generate performance reports, and support cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, accountability, and customer experience.
- Participate in special projects and support organizational priorities as needed, including staff evaluations and training needs analysis.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations, customer service, inventory, or related areas, preferably with supervisory responsibilities over multiple teams.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of invoicing, order processing, documentation review, and account reconciliation processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and demands.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with customers, teams, and leadership.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team-oriented department.
- Preferably experienced in fuel, lubricants, oil & gas, logistics, or multi-branch operational environments.
- Experience in developing procedures, workflow improvements, and performance tracking.
- Familiarity with ERP, billing, dispatch, inventory, or accounting software beneficial.
- Strong Excel skills to analyze data and summarize findings for leadership.
- Preference given to candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Natchez, Mississippi.
