Role Overview

The Director of Recruiting and Admissions plays a pivotal leadership role in managing the entire admissions and recruitment process. This position is responsible for strategizing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment efforts that enhance new student enrollment and strengthen the College’s regional presence. The Director supervises admissions operations from application intake to acceptance, ensures compliance, and leads data-driven outreach programs to build the enrollment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage admissions operations ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient processing while enhancing the applicant experience and continuously improving processes.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies utilizing data to grow applications and manage territory-based outreach initiatives, including Promise programs to bolster enrollment.
  • Analyze admissions and recruitment data to monitor trends, develop funnel reports, and implement improvements to increase student conversion rates.
  • Lead and manage admissions and recruitment staff, fostering a performance-oriented, student-focused culture emphasizing accountability and ongoing development.
  • Oversee admissions-related technology, including CRM systems, and manage staff performance tied to clear metrics.
  • Engage with community partners, schools, and workforce organizations to establish collaborative recruitment efforts and align cross-departmental strategies.
  • Serve as the Designated School Official (DSO) for international student intake and compliance as mandated by SEVP.
  • Handle admissions and recruitment budget management, ensuring resource optimization aligned with college priorities.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in admissions, recruiting, or related higher education enrollment functions, including supervisory roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication abilities with diverse audiences including students, parents, counselors, and community partners.
  • Competence in data analysis, enrollment funnel management, project management, and strategic planning.
  • Experience with CRM and admissions system oversight.
  • Ability to independently lead recruitment initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Physical ability to perform sedentary work with occasional travel to recruitment events and activities.
