Operating as a private, profit-with-purpose business, Alimentiv reinvests commercial success into scientific research, technology advancement, and employee development. Employing roughly 700 professionals across multiple countries and three main service lines, the company pursues deliberate growth driven by strong leadership capability and organizational excellence.
Role Overview
The Director of Project Management will lead and inspire a global team responsible for the delivery of comprehensive clinical trials. This role demands strategic oversight of both project management and project finance divisions to ensure smooth execution, operational excellence, and exceptional client satisfaction throughout every phase of a project's lifecycle.
As a vital part of the senior leadership team, the Director will help define and implement organizational strategies geared towards innovation, scalable process improvements, and best practices that enhance customer service, talent growth, and operational efficiency. This position champions initiatives promoting sustainable development, precise reporting, and achievement of both immediate and long-term divisional objectives aligned with Alimentiv’s vision and mission.

- Participate as a senior leadership member in operational planning, advocating for departmental needs and stakeholder interests.
- Direct the translation of strategic plans into actionable and measurable operational goals, both short and long term.
- Lead or support the project development process—collaborating with sponsors and functional directors to ensure delivery of quality products, appropriate resource allocation, budget and safety assessments, project conduct oversight, data confidentiality, and problem resolution aligned with organizational objectives.
- Ensure adequate project staffing and maintain targeted resource utilization rates.
- Represent project operations in cross-departmental planning initiatives.
- Serve as a mentor and motivator for the Clinical Project Operations team, overseeing staffing, work distribution, resource planning, training, employee engagement, team development, and performance management activities.
- Act as senior project operations representative in client meetings, business development encounters, and scientific conferences, including attendance and presentations at investigator meetings as required.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance project service quality, implementing risk mitigation, compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and programs that promote growth as a top-tier clinical research provider.
- Partner with senior leadership in budgeting, operational review, and risk management related to department service delivery, including financial reporting and compliance.
- Support business development by preparing budgets, proposal content, and managing change orders to ensure financial objectives align with project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (Bachelor or Honors) with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a college diploma with a minimum of 15 years’ relevant background in project management leadership.
- Extensive experience leading full-service project management teams with a focus on excellence.
- Proven financial resource management capabilities, including budgeting, autonomous financial decision-making within company policies, reconciliation, and reporting.
