Role overview

This role leads the full lifecycle of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia. The position covers contract handling, production coordination, logistics, and commissioning, with a strong focus on delivering work safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

What you will do

• Own the complete project journey for BESS work in Australia, starting with contract discussions and continuing through commissioning and final customer handover.
• Carry out feasibility studies, prepare project assignment books, and assemble effective project teams after project setup.
• Coordinate both internal and external resources so customer requirements are met in the local market, while guiding multicultural teams toward shared project goals.
• Manage quality, cost, timelines, communication, and risk controls in line with Australian industry requirements.
• Work closely with internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to keep project delivery smooth across different operating environments.
• Plan and track schedules, complete risk reviews, and ensure work complies with Australian safety and regulatory expectations.
• Review project status, report on key KPIs, and resolve technical or logistical issues before they affect delivery.
• Contribute technical input to business development efforts and help identify new BESS opportunities in Australia.

What we are looking for

• 5 to 7 years of experience delivering BESS or renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, or grid-scale storage.
• Professional fluency in English; Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
• A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in cross-cultural settings.
• Solid problem-solving ability and experience reducing project risks.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving and changing industry.
