Position Summary

The Director of Program Management will oversee a team of Project Managers and lead cross-departmental program execution within Natus’s medical device product portfolio. This role is accountable for establishing robust program management methodologies, ensuring operational discipline, and successfully delivering multifaceted development and commercialization programs on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with relevant quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers responsible for product innovations and business initiatives.
• Implement and reinforce program management practices including governance, tools, standards, and reporting frameworks.
• Manage several complex programs from initial concept through development, launch, and post-market support phases.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to synchronize priorities and drive progress.
• Maintain integrated program schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and executive reporting mechanisms.
• Forecast and address program risks, dependencies, and resource limitations proactively and escalate issues when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to FDA and other regulatory quality system requirements throughout program execution.
• Enhance portfolio transparency and governance through regular communication, metrics, and decision-making frameworks.
• Assist in strategic resource prioritization and investment alignment with broader business objectives.
• Promote ongoing improvement initiatives to optimize program delivery and foster organizational collaboration.
• Ensure direct reports understand and comply with all relevant Quality System procedures critical to product and service excellence.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly manages 4 to 6 employees, handling staffing functions including hiring, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in program or project management, with substantial exposure to medical device or similarly regulated industries.
• At least 5 years’ experience leading and growing teams of Project Managers or equivalent roles.
• Track record of successfully managing complex, cross-functional product programs involving development, manufacturing transfer, and commercialization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical device regulatory frameworks including FDA requirements and ISO 13485 quality standards.
• Experienced in establishing program management governance models and scalable operational processes.

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities suited for diverse stakeholder and executive engagement.
• Strong business insight, analytical problem-solving skills, and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams effectively.

Work Environment and Location

This role is based onsite in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, with moderate travel requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated annual base salary ranges from 170000 to 210000 CAD, with potential eligibility for company bonuses or commissions.
