Role Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operation of all product lines by preventing shortages or delays in component inventory supply.
- Monitor inventory quantities for parts and components diligently.
- Generate and dispatch purchase orders to suppliers promptly.
- Maintain communication with vendors regarding estimated delivery times and determine optimal shipping methods.
- Collaborate closely with factory personnel to procure materials not currently listed in inventory.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers as required to secure materials.
- Document and monitor purchase activities for bi-weekly management reviews.
- Utilize and optimize the ERP system (Fishbowl Advanced) extensively to enhance procurement workflows beyond current capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of post-secondary education or relevant trade school credentials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook at an advanced level.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or manufacturing environments.
- Physical ability to navigate the factory floor, communicate with staff, and visually inspect inventory levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, with a strong preference for Management Information Systems.
- Familiarity with Fishbowl Advanced or other manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary of $75,000 with eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
