Role overview

The company is seeking a seasoned procurement leader who can guide both strategic and hands-on supply chain work with discipline, adaptability, and a high level of energy. This role is an opportunity to contribute to a market-leading beauty and personal care manufacturer focused on innovation and growth.

Reporting structure

This position reports to the Chief Transformation Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing for raw materials, components, packaging, capital equipment, and other required inputs. Current annual spend is above $25 million and is projected to double in the next few years.
• Create and maintain vendor management processes and partnerships so suppliers consistently meet business needs for delivery timing, delivery visibility, product quality, and competitive pricing.
• Develop backup supplier options for critical materials to protect continuity of supply.
• Compare procurement performance against industry benchmarks and competitor standards.
• Develop a strong procurement team and continuously improve procurement processes and outcomes.
• Lead supply chain initiatives that improve speed, adaptability, and responsiveness while supporting revenue growth and stronger gross margins.
• Partner closely with internal teams and key suppliers to provide transparency on sourcing, material availability, estimated delivery timing, and cost projections.
• Maintain inventory at optimal levels by balancing carrying costs against customer demand requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Materials Management, or a closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in supply chain, product development, or sourcing, with most of that background in the cosmetics industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience working across multiple teams and functions.
• Comfort working with data, performance measures, and cost-conscious decision-making.
• Self-directed, action-focused, and able to move initiatives forward effectively.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and the ability to adapt priorities quickly.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team.
• Strong process management capability.
• Track record of successful negotiation.
