Role Overview
The Director of Operations will spearhead and coordinate customer servicing activities encompassing Planning, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Production. This leadership role also entails managing teams in Shipping and Manufacturing Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to deliver exceptional quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery to customers by overseeing teams, equipment, and facilities.
- Lead and strengthen team leadership capabilities.
- Ensure workplace safety is a top priority.
- Maintain and enhance excellent customer service standards.
- Design and improve product quality and processes to guarantee quality shipments.
- Collaborate with Quality Management to formulate continuous improvement strategies.
- Mentor and expand team responsibilities progressively.
- Control expenses to meet or surpass budget targets.
- Drive cost reduction through process enhancements.
- Manage inventory levels aiming for target inventory turnover rates.
- Perform purchasing planning functions and seek improvements in purchased cost efficiency.

- Possess strong technical and analytical abilities.
- Exhibit excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Display confidence, tact, and persuasiveness in communication.
- Demonstrate proficient organizational and time management skills.
- Have effective interpersonal skills suitable for working with diverse coworkers and clients.
- Show capability to perform well under pressure.
- Computer literacy including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP software.
- International and manufacturing experience will be advantageous.
Specific Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in operations or materials management.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Background in industrial engineering is highly beneficial.
