Director of Operations / Law Firm COO (Remote, US-based)

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding litigation law firm, is seeking a seasoned operational leader to partner closely with ownership and shape the inner workings of a modern legal practice. This position is fully remote within the United States but involves occasional travel between quarterly and annual onsite visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage operational workflows to convert concepts into fully realized initiatives.
• Lead the development of the firm's AI strategy, including building an internal knowledge system.
• Deploy automation tools and create dashboards that provide real-time business reporting.
• Drive projects to successful completion by fostering accountability across teams.
• Oversee human resources functions and people operations within the firm.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record of implementing end-to-end initiatives, not just evaluations or assessments.
• Strong expertise in AI technologies and automation specifically within legal or professional services sectors.
• Experienced in managing teams distributed across multiple states.
• Comfortable holding team members accountable and proactively addressing issues with practical solutions.
