Role overview
Lou's Bistro is hiring a Director of Operations to oversee the daily running of its Financial Services division. The role focuses on keeping operations efficient, compliant, and well-controlled while supporting the business as it grows its financial services and investment offerings across the United States.
This is a leadership position for someone who brings strong operational management experience, excellent organization, and a track record of improving business performance without compromising on compliance or risk standards.
What you'll do
- Own and coordinate the everyday operations of the Financial Services division.
- Build, refine, and maintain operational workflows and internal controls.
- Partner with senior leaders to carry out strategic business initiatives.
- Create operational policies that strengthen efficiency, output, and scalability.
- Track KPIs and prepare reports for executive review.
- Work closely with finance, compliance, risk, HR, and technology teams.
- Ensure all activities align with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
- Oversee operating budgets, allocation of resources, and vendor/supplier relationships.
- Identify operational exposure and put mitigation plans in place.
- Assist with new financial products, investment services, and expansion initiatives.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in operations management, ideally in financial services, banking, investment management, or fintech.
- Strong leadership ability and people-management skills.
- Demonstrated success in streamlining operations and building scalable processes.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Clear communication and solid stakeholder-management skills.
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and operational risk management.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and enterprise business systems.
Preferred background
Experience in financial services, investment management, fintech, company operations, business process improvement, project management, regulatory compliance, risk management, performance management, and strategic planning will be especially useful in this role.
