Role Overview
The Director of Operations will be a strategic leader responsible for managing and enhancing ARMRA's operational functions to support scalable growth. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role acts as a key player bridging strategy and execution by leading projects, optimizing processes, managing vendors, and facilitating cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead critical operational projects including product launches, vendor onboarding, packaging changes, and retail account readiness from initiation to completion.
- Work closely with leadership and cross-functional departments such as supply chain, logistics, production, product development, regulatory, and quality assurance to ensure smooth coordination and handoffs.
- Function as the central operational link identifying misalignments, early risks, and driving resolution among teams.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, customer experience, and commercial teams to align operational priorities organization-wide.
- Partner with senior supply chain and logistics directors to support demand forecasting, inventory control, and order fulfillment across direct-to-consumer and retail channels.
- Drive improvements in shipping operations targeting efficiency, cost reductions, and delivery performance enhancements.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of technology tools such as ERP systems, reporting dashboards, and workflow automations to improve operational visibility and efficiency.
- Create scalable and repeatable standard operating procedures to remedy operational bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with VP of Operations on ERP and platform optimizations ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with vendors and manufacturers enforcing service level agreements, performance metrics, and contracts.
- Review vendor and contract performance regularly to identify opportunities for renegotiation, consolidation, or diversification.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards for real-time reporting of key metrics, KPIs, and risk factors to leadership.
- Deliver insightful reports and recommendations to leaders to guide data-driven operational decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 8 years' experience in operations, supply chain, or program management within personal care, consumer packaged goods, health, or wellness sectors.
- Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder operational projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong background in process development, system implementations, and operational enhancements in high-growth settings.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers, vendors, and operational partnerships effectively.
- Technology proficient with ERP, inventory, and e-commerce platforms such as NetSuite, Cin7, Shopify, or equivalent.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities leveraging data to inform improvements.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities facilitating extensive cross-functional cooperation.
- Adaptability to ambiguity and dynamic priorities with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
- Entrepreneurial 'builder' outlook constantly pursuing efficiency and scalability.
- Experience in startups or fast-growing consumer packaged goods companies is advantageous.
