Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Operations to take ownership of business unit performance and help steer profitable, long-term growth in an Engineered-to-Order manufacturing setting. This role is responsible for guiding operational execution, advancing key business priorities such as lean manufacturing, and building strong, high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong record of leadership achievements, a clear understanding of how operational decisions affect the business, and a steady focus on profitability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold full leadership accountability for the business unit’s results and ongoing development.
- Run operations through a disciplined performance framework centered on safety, quality, and continuous improvement so customer expectations and business objectives are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Lead in a collaborative, inclusive, and balanced management style that strengthens team ownership and engagement.
- Direct manufacturing activities in a cost-efficient manner while staying aligned with established operating measures and targets.
- Bring manufacturing, materials, and maintenance functions together so processes support strong, high-quality output.
- Drive initiatives that improve the division’s competitive standing by cutting lead time and lowering cost.
Required Qualifications
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations management.
Preferred Qualifications
An MBA is preferred.
