Role overview
This position calls for an accomplished operations leader with substantial ownership of profit and loss, a strong background in managing large project portfolios or mega EPC programs, and a track record of leading sizeable multidisciplinary teams across the GCC.
The role is focused on T&D EPC work, with deep exposure to execution of EHV substations at a minimum of 380 kV within Oil & Gas settings. The successful candidate will bring more than 20 years of relevant experience and the ability to steer complex projects, teams, and commercial outcomes.
What the role involves
- Direct the end-to-end delivery of multiple EPC assignments while keeping schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets on track.
- Shape project strategy, governance, manpower planning, and engagement with key stakeholders.
- Oversee risk management, recovery actions, and initiatives aimed at improving overall performance.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Guide and support Project Directors, Project Managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Make sure all work aligns with client expectations, applicable standards, and company objectives.
Experience and background expected
- At least 20 years of EPC experience, including a minimum of 10 years delivering HV substations in the GCC Oil & Gas sector.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Strong command of project execution, commercial control, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Prior experience handling multiple projects, large teams, and complex stakeholder environments.
- Middle East or GCC experience is strongly preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering is required.
